Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of entropsy.io and any reports or services purchased through it ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who We Are

Entropsy is an AI competitive intelligence platform. We map 10,000+ AI tools and deliver competitive landscape reports to help founders and operating teams understand where AI disruption is accelerating in their markets.

2. What We Provide

When you purchase a report, you provide us with your company name, URL, a brief description, and optionally a file upload. Our AI agents analyze your company against our proprietary database and deliver a report covering:

  • Competitive landscape across relevant AI tools
  • Whitespace and opportunity analysis
  • Funding and market data
  • Strategic observations

Reports are informational only. They are not financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, or a recommendation to take any specific business action. They are AI-generated analyses based on a database that is updated periodically but is not a real-time data feed.

3. Disclaimers

Reports are provided "as is." We make no warranty — express or implied — about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any report.

Specifically:

  • Database entries may be incomplete, outdated, or contain errors
  • Funding amounts are approximate and sourced from public records; they may not reflect current capitalization
  • Company information in our database reflects a point in time and may not capture recent pivots, acquisitions, or shutdowns
  • AI-generated analysis may contain factual errors, hallucinations, or misclassifications
  • No report should be the sole basis for a material business, financial, or legal decision

4. Data Accuracy and Database

Our tool database is updated periodically, not continuously. Gaps exist. The database reflects our own research methodology and may not include every tool in a given category. Competitive landscapes change faster than any static database can track — treat reports as a starting point for research, not a definitive market map.

5. Payment

Reports are $40 each, payable at the time of order. Payment is processed by Stripe. You are responsible for any applicable taxes in your jurisdiction. Prices may change; any change will not affect orders already placed.

6. Refunds

Reports are digital goods delivered upon generation. Because we incur AI processing costs whether or not you are satisfied with the output, refunds are at our discretion. We will issue a refund if:

  • We are unable to generate a report due to a technical failure on our end
  • The report is clearly generated for the wrong company due to our error

We do not issue refunds because a report was less detailed than expected, did not contain a specific competitor, or because you changed your mind after receiving it. If you have a concern, email us at support@entropsy.io and we'll make it right when we reasonably can.

7. Intellectual Property

Your license: When you purchase a report, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that report for your own internal business purposes. You may share it internally within your organization.

What you may not do:

  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the report to third parties
  • Publish the report publicly without written permission
  • Use the report to create a competing product or service
  • Represent the report as your own original research without attribution

Our IP: The underlying database, methodology, analytical framework, and platform remain Entropsy's exclusive intellectual property. Purchasing a report does not transfer any ownership of these assets.

8. Data We Collect and How We Use It

When you purchase a report or contact us, we collect:

  • Identity and contact: Name, email address
  • Company information: Company name, URL, description you provide
  • Uploaded files: Any documents you attach to your order
  • Payment data: Handled entirely by Stripe; we do not store your card details
  • Usage data: Standard web analytics (pages visited, time on site)

How we use it:

  • To generate your report
  • To deliver your report by email
  • To respond to support requests
  • To improve our platform and database

What we don't do: We do not sell your personal data or company information to third parties. We do not use your company description to train public AI models. Uploaded documents are used solely to generate your report and are not retained beyond what's needed for that purpose.

9. User-Provided Content

You represent that you have the right to provide any information or documents you submit with your order — including that uploaded files do not contain third-party confidential information you're not authorized to share. You grant Entropsy a limited license to use your submissions solely to generate your report.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to systematically extract, scrape, or reconstruct our tool database
  • Access the Service via automated scripts or bots (beyond normal browser use)
  • Resell or repackage reports as your own product or service
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit false or misleading company information to manipulate report output
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer our scoring methodology or database structure

Violations may result in account termination and forfeiture of any pending orders without refund.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Entropsy's total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is capped at the amount you paid for the report in question ($40)
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost opportunities, or business decisions made in reliance on a report
  • These limitations apply even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages

If you're in a jurisdiction that doesn't allow these limitations, the cap applies to the fullest extent permitted.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Entropsy, its founders, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights through your use of the Service.

13. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a report or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any reason. If we terminate access due to a Terms violation, you are not entitled to a refund for unused orders.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g., via email if you've purchased a report).
